Welcome to the Eastern Ontario Pleasure Driving Society

The Society was first established in 1975 to promote the association of people with an interest in vintage vehicles and pleasure driving.  The Society was incorporated in 1977. It is a chapter of the Carriage Association of America.   Currently it has a link to Drive Ontario, which is a consortium of Ontario Carriage Driving Clubs.  The Society is also a member of the Ontario Equestrian Federation Associations Advisory Council. A board of Directors representing 80 members, the majority of whom reside in Eastern Ontario, manages it. A number of drivers belong to Drive Canada.

Anyone, who is interested in Pleasure or Combined Driving, may participate, whether using light, heavy horses,  ponies or VSEs.  Active driving members use vintage or modern vehicles, including Marathon vehicles. Education is an important aspect of the club
